Goodbye Mr. Churchill

To mollify my mother I have removed the image of Winston Churchill from my blog. He will be missed. When available, I will replace it with an image of Bun Bun composed as to incite hilarity.
Until that time I may try to put in something in place of Mr. Churchill, a placeholder as it were. I will consider the options available to me.

Hello Jeremy,
Here in Canada any photograph taken before 1948 is in the public domain. If you can satisfy yourself that your portrait of Sir. W.C. is in the public domain you can probably use it. However, a change would be nice. How about Kropotkin --if he is too dangerously political (or non-political as the case may be) how about Tolstoy? No one could object to Tolstoy.
Pay attention to copyright.
Love from your mother.
